Characteristic
PEEK black resin is a new type of semi crystalline aromatic thermoplastic engineering plastic prepared by condensation reaction of 4,4 '- difluorobenzophenone and hydroquinone in the presence of alkali metal carbonate, using diphenyl sulfone as solvent. It has the following main characteristics:
High temperature resistance: The glass transition temperature is about 143 ° C, the melting point is about 343 ° C, and the long-term use temperature can reach 200 ° C, with a short-term tolerance of over 300 ° C.
Mechanical properties: The tensile strength is about 90-100 MPa, the elastic modulus is about 3.6 GPa, and it has high strength and rigidity.
Wear resistance: Suitable for manufacturing friction components such as gears and bearings.
Chemical corrosion resistance: Stable to most organic solvents, weak acids, and weak bases, but not resistant to strong acid oxidants such as concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid.
Flame retardancy: UL94 flame retardant rating is V-0, with low smoke density during combustion.
Biocompatibility: Passed ISO 10993 biocompatibility certification, widely used in orthopedic implants and surgical instruments.
Application Area
PEEK black resin has been widely used in various fields due to its excellent performance:
Aerospace: Used for manufacturing lightweight components such as brackets, connectors, etc.
Automotive manufacturing: used for manufacturing automotive gears, oil screens, shift starting discs, etc.
Medical equipment: used for manufacturing artificial joints, dental instruments, endoscopes, dialyzers, etc.
Electronic and electrical: used for manufacturing high-temperature resistant electronic components and structural parts.
Processing
The processing of PEEK black resin requires high-temperature injection molding or extrusion molding, and the processing temperature is usually between 350-400 ° C. Its crystallinity is affected by the cooling rate and its properties can be adjusted by annealing.
