Characteristic
Chemical composition: PFA is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkoxy vinyl ether. The introduction of perfluoroalkoxy side chains in its molecular chain significantly improves its melt flowability, allowing it to be processed through injection molding, extrusion, and other processes.
Core performance:
Temperature resistance: Long term tolerance to temperatures ranging from -80 ℃ to 260 ℃, and short-term tolerance to temperatures up to 300 ℃.
Chemical inertness: resistant to strong acids (such as concentrated sulfuric acid, aqua regia), strong bases, and organic solvents, but sensitive to specific substances such as metal hydrides should be noted.
Mechanical properties: High tensile strength, excellent elastic recovery, suitable for dynamic sealing scenarios.
Application Area
Semiconductor manufacturing: used for high-purity etching solution delivery tubes, wafer processing equipment seals, etc., meeting ppb level cleanliness requirements.
Chemical equipment: Replace metal pipelines to transport corrosive media such as hydrofluoric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid, extending equipment life.
Medical and Food: High purity PFA that meets FDA standards can be used for medical devices and food grade containers.
The electronics industry benefits from its excellent dielectric properties, such as high-frequency circuit board copper-clad laminates and wire insulation layers.
